Miles per year
2018 is still the high-water mark at 1,361 miles; 2026 is the best year since.
Off the clock
I'm Chris, a growth marketer in Durham, North Carolina. Outside of work I log miles most evenings, keep a 3D printer busy, and spend Tuesday nights caring for rescue cats. Each habit feeds the day job: training plans are just test-and-learn with sore legs, and you can't fake data at mile 20.
Running · via Strava
I market running shorts by day and run in them by night. This is my actual training log, synced from Strava, through Oct 20, 2026.
37-week streak
2018 is still the high-water mark at 1,361 miles; 2026 is the best year since.
Building since September: from ~20 to 35–40 miles a week.
Grouped by metro area from Strava. Drag the globe to spin it.
3D printing · since 2023
I picked up 3D printing in 2023, and it found its way into my job. At ChicknLegs I print Chads that we use as handouts.
When the tool doesn't exist, I make it.
AI side projects
Outside work I build and run small consumer products with AI as the operating team. It keeps me hands-on with the tools changing marketing fastest, from agent workflows to AI-written lifecycle email.
Volunteering · Independent Animal Rescue
Since August 2023 I've worked the Tuesday evening cat-care shift at Independent Animal Rescue in Durham: feeding, cleaning and plenty of socializing for cats waiting on their people.
In 2025 I started fostering. My first foster, Chili, never left; I adopted her. This fall I took in bonded kitten sisters Belle and Panko and ran my first meet-and-greet with adopters. Ash, an IAR office cat, came home with me back in 2023.
I've also put marketing to work for rescues: I reactivated a wildlife rescue's Google Ad Grants account and built its search campaigns.
